Approved!

For anyone out there who watches the weather channel, you would've known that our temperature in Florida was nearly 40 degrees over Wednesday night. Lucky for me, I had to work that night from 8 pm - 2 am to be approved for Woody's Roundup. I had on two sweatshirts, jeans, sweat pants, long socks, and an undershirt. It was rather cold! The good news is, I passed and am now capable of being in the show in front of guests.

Along the same lines of approval, I have been approved for the Spectromagic parade which takes place at the Magic Kingdom during the night. It's cool because all the characters and floats have lights on them that change colors. So, I'll keep you posted on when I will be doing that.

At the moment, I am learning another parade at the Magic Kingdom called Disney's Dreams Come True. I am a pirate with a flag! It's fun and very exciting. I move around with Captain Hook and Smee along with two other pirates who also have flags. Approval for that parade is tomorrow, so wish me the best of luck!

...not that I'll need it...

One more note about parades: I'll be doing my first parade on Friday at Hollywood Studios. In fact, that parade I will be in goes away forever on Saturday, so I'll be in it the day before it leaves and is replaced by another parade.

Other than all the busy parade work, I still get a chance to just have fun and relax. I went to the beach the other day, and it was great! I laid out, got a tan, and even swam in the ocean. The water was a bit cold, but it still made for a fun day. After that, the weather started to cool off and became rainy, so I came home and jumped in the hot tub to warm up. It was a relaxing day off. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of me at the beach, but I can get some. Hopefully, I'll be receiving those so I can post them up for everyone to see!

*I just put up a new side bar that tells you all the people I've been friends with. It is just to the right of this post.*

A Chameleon Job

Everyday I go to work, I still love it. It's great because it is always changing and keeping me on my toes to see what I will be doing next and how I will be doing it. I never get bored! I can also thank the guests who come to the parks for making it fun too.

I recently ate at the Planet Hollywood here, and it was so good. I got grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and squash...yum. I need to go back and get some more! I went with Kathryn, Page, and my roommate Zak. There are pictures of them all on my blog in case you're wondering who I am speaking of. Right now, I am dating Kathryn and things are good. She's a really fun girl who makes me laugh, and I really enjoy spending time with her.

Lately, I've been working in Woody's Roundup which is a show they put on in the Magic Kingdom with Woody, Jessie, and Bullseye from Toy Story. It's a fun little hoedown they put on with music, a wagon, and cowboys that get the crowd involved.

I have a couple of pictures here too. There is one of Alice and I at Epcot, and one of me in a phone booth at Epcot as well.

Cutting the Locks

This past week has been good to me. I've had plenty of time off to spend with friends and visit the parks. I was working yesterday, but got off at 9 am because they did not have a shift for me to fill, so I was able to have the park all to myself. I was able to ride all the rides that usually have an hour wait in about ten minutes. It was nice!

Yesterday was also very nerve wrecking because I was cutting my own hair. I went to Wal-Mart on Saturday and bought myself a 27-piece hair trimming kit for like $25. I came home from the parks yesterday and decided it was time to get my new doo. It actually turned out very good. So to all those people who doubted me, IN YOUR FACE! Only kidding. (I will be putting up my before and after pictures soon.)

I also have a new piece of wardrobe to add to my closet. It's my new Goofy hat; I thought it was very fitting. You can see it on my head in the following pictures of Koda and I, and the one of Wendy and I.

I was going through my pictures and found one of my family at California on the pier.

Pictures

Here are a couple of pictures of me and some other people.
The first one is of my friend Estevan and I visiting Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

The next picture is of me at Epcot and someone thought it'd be funny to put a flashing Micky hat on my head...

This last one is of two girls and me at Epcot after watching the firework show "Illuminations". The one on the right is Kathryn; she's friends with Wendy. The other girl is Paige who is friends with Princess Aurora.

Yes, I am still alive!

Sorry for such a long delay on this post, I've been very busy.

Let me elaborate on how busy I have been this past week. Starting on Monday of last week, I began my training for the job I have down here. It's 9 hours long for 5 days a week. Also, after each work shift, which was 8-5:30, I would go to the parks and ride the attractions. After our final day of training, I started the weekend with a parade orientation. After that, I was in the parks. On Sunday, I had a parade rehearsal...then went the parks. Monday and Tuesday, I had parade rehearsals from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm. You guessed it! I went the parks after each of those. However, because the parks are full of people during the day, we can't practice the parade then, so I have a rehearsal from 1:30 am - 7:30 am Wednesday morning. AHH!

I am sorry if this post is a little choppy and difficult to read, but I am recovering from a great night out with great person. We went to Epcot to watch the fireworks show, and it's terrific! I get chills every time I see it. Anyway, I hope this satisfies your need for Disney info!

Here are a photos of my roommate and Goofy!
